Validation and bet tiers
The checks every Nitro Gaming title passes on Engine, and what the star tiers mean.
Compliance checks
Engine runs seven checks on each game's base mode before release. All Nitro Gaming titles pass all seven.
- Cross-mode RTP consistency. RTP across all modes stays within the allowed variance. Expected ≤ 0.50%.
- Base mode cost. The cheapest mode is the 1.0x base game. Expected = 1.00x.
- Base mode standard deviation. Base-game standard deviation stays within limits. Expected ≥ 0.60x.
- Bet level validator. A valid three-star bet-level template exists. Expected: valid template.
- RTP range. Return to player sits inside the allowed band. Expected 90.0% to 96.70%.
- Cost multiplier. A mode’s cost multiplier stays under the cap. Expected ≤ 50,000x.
- Max payout multiplier. The largest win stays under the cap. Expected ≤ 1,000,000x.
Bet tiers
Engine sorts bet ranges into star tiers. Our reports list a 2-star template (100max_1cent) and a 3-star template (500max_1cent). For each tier, Engine tests the game against risk constraints: how often it pays 5,000x or more, the size of its worst 0.1% of outcomes (CVaR) and its expected tail liability.
Reduced caps
If a mode exceeds a tier's limit, Engine lowers that tier's caps rather than blocking the game.
| Game | 2-star tier | 3-star tier |
|---|---|---|
| Goblin Gold Mine | Full caps | Full caps |
| Wild Shabang | Caps reduced: Max exposure 15,000,000 → 10,000,000; Max bet cost 100,000 → 50,000 | Caps reduced: Max exposure 50,000,000 → 25,000,000 |
| Twin Charge | Caps reduced: Max exposure 15,000,000 → 10,000,000; Max bet cost 100,000 → 50,000 | Full caps |
Values over a limit come from the high-cost modes (All In, God Mode and, in Wild Shabang, Mega Bonus), not from the base game. Full values are on the math pages.
